Close to the conveniences of city life, our settings offer active and caring environments that are supported by staff, families, friends and volunteers. Fitness classes, off-site outings, crafts and musical activities are just a few examples of programs offered.
Intercare’s commitment is to provide residents with tastefully designed and functional living environments that promote safety, dignity and independence. There are no set visiting hours. Family and friends are always welcome.
Intercare’s dining rooms accommodate all of our residents so meals can be enjoyed in a social atmosphere. Following the Canada Food Guide, a wide variety of nutritional cuisine is offered. Our staff also cater to special dietary needs.
Professional and Friendly Care
Our multi-disciplinary team works to ensure that all facets of our residents’ health and wellness are properly managed. Whether the needs are medical, physical, emotional, social, spiritual – or the challenge of day-to-day living – our trained staff work with residents and their families to develop personalized Care Plans for each resident.
Intercare values its staff and has developed many initiatives that recognize and support the staff’s need for professional and personal development. Through these initiatives, staff deliver quality care and services to our residents.
Provides personal and medical care to someone who is unable to carry out the activities of daily living. A team of professional staff are available 24/7 to ensure our residents are cared for.
Intercare’s Behavioural Support Unit (BSU) provides residents who have complex behaviors with specialized care in a safe, secure, respectful and compassionate living environment that focuses on maximizing resident function.
Comprehensive care, focused on easing the physical, emotional and spiritual pain that often accompanies terminal illness. Our hospice team is a dedicated and specialized team of professionals.
Intercare’s Special Care Unit (SCU) provides residents who have an acquired brain injury with specialized care in a safe, secure, respectful and compassionate living environment that focuses on maximizing resident function.
The Supportive Living Program is primarily focused on residents who are under age 65 years of age and have been diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease
