At Intercare, staff members are proud to have opportunities to support our community by volunteering.  Time, energy and talent is given to aid charities, community events and programs.

Thanksgiving Memory Walk/Run

Since 2003 Intercare has annually made pledges and participated in the Thanksgiving Day Memory Walk/Run in support of the Alzheimer Society.

Through our yearly “Cans for Fans” food drive, Intercare staff have generously donated to the Calgary Inter-Faith Foodbank.  Staff members have also volunteered at the Food Bank creating food hampers for many less fortunate families.

Opportunities for staff to assist with preparing and serving meals for guests  from Inn from the Cold have proven both successful and rewarding.

It is always an exciting, enlightening time when the opportunity to volunteer at the Warehouse of Operation Christmas Child shoebox processing centre,  Samaritan’s Purse.  There is such a feeling of joy and giving when the shoeboxes are inspected, parceled up and prepared for shipment to children in third world countries who have possibly never received a present.

Having a diversified workforce, Intercare staff are there to help when disaster in their homeland strikes.  Financial aid has been collected for various countries that have been stricken throughout the world.
