David Ail, President and CEO
David has 30+ years of senior leadership experience as President of Intercare (1992-present), CEO of Inglewood Private Hospital, Lodge and Manor Partnership until its sale in 2001, CEO of Morton Holdings Ltd. (1989-present), Managing General Partner of Mountainside Lodge Ltd.(2002-2004) and Vice-President of Human Resources for Fred Meyer Savings and Loan (1975-1979). Born in Portland, Oregon, David graduated from Portland State University in 1973 and relocated to Vancouver Island in 1979 prior to moving to Vancouver in 1984. Major construction projects completed under David’s direction include the 1994-96 expansion/ redevelopment of Inglewood and more recently expansions and renovations to Southwood (2), Brentwood and Chinook Care Centers.
Ian Woodcock, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
As Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Ian is responsible for a portfolio that includes all of Intercare’s operations. Ian brings to his position 20+ years of health care management and consulting experience in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. Ian holds a Masters Degree in Health Services Administration and is a member of the Canadian College of Health Care Leaders.
Dr. Paddy Quail, Medical Advisor
Medical Adviser and Site Leader Medical is a family physician who graduated from Trinity College Dublin and worked in the UK from 1982 until emigrating to Canada in 1987. One of his first positions was a houseman at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge on the Geriatrics unit (1983) and later as a vocational trainee in General Practice in an inner city practice in London (1987) . He supports all efforts to promote the most compassionate care of older and disabled patients and has a keen interest in facility based care. He is also Medical Director for Home Care with the Calgary Health Region where he chairs the newly created Ethics committee and is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Dept. of Family Medicine University of Calgary. he also chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee for Supported Living and the regional Influenza planning committee.
Pat Morris, Director of Clinical Services and Community Relations
Pat is a Registered Nurse with a degree in Nursing and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. With over 32 years of nursing experience including orthopedics and Long Term Care Administration, Pat is responsible for clinical services and programming at all Intercare facilities. She supports Intercare's on-going commitment to the safe, quality care and services for the residents and families that we serve, through participation in research, development of best practices and building strong community partnerships.
Josh Ail, Director of Administration and Corporate Services
Moving from Human Resources Program Leader, Josh as Director of Administration and Corporate services is now responsible for the portfolio that includes overseeing Human Resources, Maintenance and IT/IS support for all Intercare facilities. Josh brings to his position 10+ years of health care management experience in both British Columbia and Alberta. Josh holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration as well as a Human Resources Diploma.
